Here is the work I have been doing all week! This cuff pictured is of three antique buttons that I wanted to keep but they were just laying around in a jar so this is a perfect way to have them out and it was alot of fun to do too.

Wow! Another week gone by! I have been busy beading, as usual, but I have gotten two embroidery braclets and a pendant done, so I thought I would share the results with you. The pendant is from my gold flatware so I am minus a few salad forks now! It was alot of fun doing them but hours and hours of work!
The bottom one is closed with a button and fits the wrist beautifully. The first one I did was in Gold and the second one I made one in silver. The silver one is offset with three buttons and it balances of the wrist plus I closed it with a pretty silver flowered button. All of the cuffs are lined
with leathers and a beaded stitch to hold it secure.
I made this pearl and swarvoski cystal bracelet using a brick stitch that I twisted in the middle and closed with an antique button. What do you think? Maybe it could be worn on a wedding day or even for a prom or dressy dress such as Mother of the bride.

Goodmorning world! It is actually 2:00 AM and I have been working all evening on a new beading project that I am very excited about....I am beading around an antique spoon handle that my Mom had in her stash. It is really turning out so sweet and next I will be working on a "cuff" out of two handles. The broach that is shown in called Bead Embroidery and I love love love creating in this medium. I have made and sold several cuffs and enjoy using all of my odd and end beads to create something beautiful.

Plus I have rearranged my art room and added a lot more drawers to store my goodies in. My husband is so supportive of all of my endeavors and I am trying to get my self organized so I can work, in earnest, on my Christmas projects. I have also attached a couple of the cards I am working on and really appreciate the old antique roses with the ribbon and moms' buttons.

Cards

I enjoy collecting art work of anything Victorian and that is what I seem to create with when I am making boxes, cards or stationery. The little girl on the friendship card was a scan of a print my Grandma gave me. Isn't she cute cute cute?

I have taken a digital picture of a lace top I wear then added the lovely lady in red. She reminds me of my sister, Mary. I do alot of work in Photoshop plus take alot of digital pictures to add an "original" look to my work.
The purple tulip card was a combination of wallpaper, a ribbon, and an Easter card. I make these for Easter, Mother's day, and sympathy. I have started to add a whole page inside that matches whatever the cover reflects.
I am showing only a very small sample of the numerous cards I have created and sent out to friends and church. I find that fall is upon me already and I am not sure what happened to spring but the last week of November I have been hosting and open house for my friends & neighbors to enjoy some snacks, and the numerous things I have created for inexpensive gifts for teachers, friends, etc. Last year it went over very well which gave me a little spending money plus I am building a clientele here in Georgia. I lived in an old Victorian house in Iowa and had a huge following and the last year I had it, over 490 women signed my guest book. So I have alot of work ahead of myself to even come close to that number here in Georgia. I invited alot of my crafty friends when I was in Iowa to bring their things and it was sooo much more fun plus they made money too. I will post some of my ideas as I finish some projects this year. Have a blessed Monday! My Mom gave me this poem and I thought I would share it with you:

"Dirty Dishes"
Thank God for dirty dishes
they have a tale to tell.
While others go hungry,
we're eating very well.
With Home, Hearth, and Happiness
I shouldn't want to fuss.
For by this stack of evidence,
God's very good to us!

More of my treasures!

I have been working a little at a time just getting some of the photos onto my blog so that I will have a base to work with. From these pictures I will add information and tips on the pieces. It is at least a start and a beginning of my adventure into the blog world. I have looked and studied several lovely blogs to see how they get such a following and catch the interest of the readers. I believe that will be an on going study but it all takes sooooo much time and I would love to be beading and creating. I haven't taken shots of any of the paper projects as of yet but soon very soon I will branch out, if you will be patient. Please stop by again and again. I will try to improve. Have a wonderful day of worship today and if I do not get to bed I will over sleep .
