It's now 2009! Can ya' believe it?

I hope that this first day of the New Year will be the beginning of a wonderful year!!! My hubby brought me the newspaper and this cartoon stood out above the rest. I actually had to laugh out loud which is very unusual for me. It reminded me of myself! Happy New Year!!!

This peyote bracelet is what I did for my New Years party. (Me and my beads and two wonderful Grand daughters). I had gotten the three center pieces about six months ago and I have been wanting to do "something" with them. Again, the camera does not pick up the colors or sparkle very well but it is a soft green under base with a kelly green and purple overlay topper that matches the crystals in the center pieces.

My Sis told me that I should start putting the prices on each piece. I am very weak in this area of pricing. I love to create but hate to put a price on my work. Work is what it is....this one took me about six hours, (let's see at $.25 an hour and around $20.00 in beads and center piece???). See it is very difficult to know what to price things. I think this one should be around $45.00. Yes, I know that seems high but if I can just get the cost of the goods out and a little bit extra then I will be satisfied. I guess, I should take the time to go back and review the other pieces and put prices on them and reshow what has not sold. (Now THAT is alot of time away from my beading...hmmmm)
