More stuff for inquiring minds

Another beautiful day in Georgia! It has rained all day BUT we need the rain so badly. My daffodils are up and blooming beautifully! The neighbor has thrown hundreds of bulbs in the woods between us and they are gorgeous! I will try to take some pics when it is not raining but for now we Praise the Lord for the rain, so no complaints here!

I found this idea quite a while back and wanted to share it with you. What a great idea. It is a hard glass case but I thought it would be a good idea for a gift box also.
I like to embroidery with beads and I had this lovely pin which I loved but it was so insignificant by itself so I added a little bit of beads around it and then did a spiral neck piece. I really like the way the cross stands out plus the skirt is in 3d. I really like it when I can get away from "patterned" pieces and just create, as I go. I hope you can see some of the details in this one. Just right click and it will automatically enlarge it so that you can see some of the bead work plus you may save it to a file IF you please.
I worked on this Cellini Spiral for three days and I finally got it finished (with a few problems) around 4:30AM. It is done in blues of various shades. I have been wanting to try the Cellini Spiral since I started beading and did not have the nerve. Well, I finally got up the nerve and went for it! I love doing things that challenge my new skills.
Another idea that I got on the Internet....(do ya' have any idea how I can keep track of which blog I get these ideas from so that I can give them credit?) It is a spoon that has been decorated with an ear ring and beads. (I "think" it is done with epoxy to cement it all together.) I just thought you might like to see the flowers that brighten my days and see some of the work I have been doing also. Have a GREAT Sunday and be of good cheer because it does wear off on others. P.S. This is a vintage postcard from "The Feathered Nest" that I had added wording to a blog or so back. I thought maybe you might like it plain too.

I "think" I fixed the Header

Thank you for your help! I "think" I have fixed the problem. I am still working on updating my blog to make it somewhat attractive. What do you think? I have been on the computer all day long.
I found this lovely thought that I wanted to share with you but I have no idea which one of the blogs that I got it from, sorry...."When our eyes see our hands, doing the work of our hearts, the circle of creation is completed inside us, the doors of our souls fly open, and love steps forth to heal everything in sight." Anne Jones
I got a lot of goodies, thanks to so many wonderful & generous blogs. I love anything Victorian and you know what, it is an endless supply, via the Internet. I made a gorgeous necklace last night BUT I broke it already. All of that work and time and now I have to start all over again. UGH!!!. I went on Rustic Victorian and from there I went to numerous blogs. Isn't this card cute? I am thinking spring in everything I do or see. The watercolor is absolutely beautiful! I love water colors but can not do them myself. I have tried numerous times and with no pleasant success.
" Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."
Have a wonderful day because YOU make a difference to others: good or bad? sharon

New Header and help needed

Would you please let me know IF you like the new header and IF it fits your screen correctly? I have no idea of what is going on with it. On one computer it looks fine and the other one it is tooooo big. If you can't comment on my blog would you please email me? I would appreciate it. Thank you sooooo much!Number 2 is what I presently have at the top but it looks stretched or something.

Post Cards and a New Necklace for you

Dawn, from "The Feathered Nest.blogspot.com" had these lovely antique Post Cards on her blog and said we could use them with her blessing. I fell in love with the roses and I made the header from them. Aren't they absolutely beautiful? I can not tell you what pleasure I get from their beauty. Well, I could not leave well enough alone and I added words to make them into a personalized post card for you. I thought maybe you might want to print them on card stock and send them out to loved ones. (Remember to right click on the picture and then save it into a file.) I have kept the files large so that you can print them in good quality. If you notice, I love flowers but particularly roses. On the one I moved the bee around to set upon the leaf so that there would be room for words. Do you like them? I hope that they are a blessing to you and to the receiver.

There is one for Easter! Gotta' think ahead.....
Please please check out Dawn's blog. She has such beautiful ideas for gifts and I love the way she writes out her thoughts. Oh, yes, she even gave us the back to the postcard!
I also read "Quill Cottage" and there is a lovely devotional on "Laced With Grace" that I read almost every day. Sandy, from "The Quill Cottage" was talking about Psalms 139:10 "EVEN THERE....Your hand will hide me, Your right hand will hold me fast!" The Psalms are always comforting to me but here it said "to me" that no matter where I am, God my Father, WILL be with me, in me and in front of me and HE is in control because I am HIS! Good stuff, don't ya' think?
Jewelry:
I have to show you a necklace that I just finished last night. There was a lady that came into Atlanta Bead Market in May of last year and she had a necklace on a lot like this one. I asked her if I could photograph it and she was so kind to let me do so. I told her I would someday learn enough to make one like it. It is about one year later and I finally got up the nerve to do it from the picture then when Melissa gave me the stone all made up I HAD to do something with it. All I had to do is the necklace part. (It however, took me three days to complete) (I am not a fast beader) What do you think? I am pleased.
One last Post card. This one made me think of my Momma. Her name was, Bonnie. Sunday, Feb. 22nd was her birthday and I thought about her all day long. What a wonderful birthday she must be having! I sure miss the little sweet lady. (I just pray that my children and grand kids will think of me so fondly when I am with my Momma once again.) I have often thought that I am now making the memories that will last for their lifetime! (Kinda' scarey if I get to thinking about it.)
Have a blessed and quality Thursday. Make a difference for the good of someone who passes your way.

I'm back, sort of

Here are the two Russian Spirals that I finally got finished and wanted to show you what they turned out like. The top one is silver with purples and blues and the bottom one is in golds and rosey purples. The center piece can be removed to make it two separate necklace looks.

I am absent minded but I wanted to post this picture of my daughter and I and now I am thinking I have already posted it. IF I have please pass on by and realize I am getting old! This computer problem has had us totally stumped.... It is going on two weeks since my computer crashed with 8 trojans and hundreds of viruses. Now I can't win the lottery for anything but I can win the big prize of the computer domain! It still is not fixed on the main computer but I am using (the older then tablets) laptop. But I have had several things I wanted to post but for tonight I have downloaded these and hope you will be patient.
This "Interchangeable" Crystal necklace is the latest one! It is so very pretty! All of the five drops can be removed and rearranged to your liking. I am also in the process of making other rings to hang from it. One would get a lot of miles from it. Just before I completed the green one I got busy with the "Mother of Pearl" pendant and finally built this necklace with "beaded beads". My daughter modeled for me and then, of course, had to wear it for the day. I really like the copper and pearls together. When I was checking through my stash I realized that the embroidery bracelet I had made last year just matched perfectly!

I thought this was a very clever idea! Melissa gave me a thick frame that I added plastic webbing to then put white core board behind it. I made a narrow spacer between the two so that the ear rings would hang. This is a few of the sets I have made in the last few days.

Valentines Day is just around the corner

Guess what I have been up to! I went to a card class today and it got me inspired to make a few cards. These are not the ones I made today but I wanted to send you a few Valentines that I have collected from the internet. You can save them by right clicking on them and save them to your files. I will add a few more "just in case" you want to make some yourselves. I can't tell by the file name where I got them from but I like the old timey Valentines best. I have several 100 that I have gotten from Digifreebies Blog.
