I have not been beading too much this weekend. I have had a horrible headache and chilly. Now my hubby has the same thing so it must be something "going around". But now I am a little better, thank goodness. I have started five or six projects but this is the only thing I have finished. This peyote stitch looked like it would be easy, "not". I saw a picture of it and loved the weave so I tried to replicate the idea. It is so pretty on the wrist and extremely comfortable. I added an antique button that just tied it together with the gold trim. The center has Czech Crystal beads. I must go work on a new "spring" bracelet in free form and I will show you that in the next few days.
I think I had stated that my neighbor gave me six cases of Amaryllis bulbs and I gave most of them away at church but I saved a couple dozen for my garden. I wanted to plant them outside but it is entirely to cold so I potted numerous colors. These are the first two to bloom and I wanted to share them with you. If you will notice the almond tree is still in bloom outside the window! Yesterday I found five daffodils in bloom at the bottom of my patio stairway. There is HOPE there is an end to winter and a new beginning of spring! My favorite saying to my hubby "One more day closer to spring". I have said it more often this year than ever before. (It helps that I have flowers inside that are blooming.)
