I found this idea quite a while back and wanted to share it with you. What a great idea. It is a hard glass case but I thought it would be a good idea for a gift box also.
I like to embroidery with beads and I had this lovely pin which I loved but it was so insignificant by itself so I added a little bit of beads around it and then did a spiral neck piece. I really like the way the cross stands out plus the skirt is in 3d. I really like it when I can get away from "patterned" pieces and just create, as I go. I hope you can see some of the details in this one. Just right click and it will automatically enlarge it so that you can see some of the bead work plus you may save it to a file IF you please.
I worked on this Cellini Spiral for three days and I finally got it finished (with a few problems) around 4:30AM. It is done in blues of various shades. I have been wanting to try the Cellini Spiral since I started beading and did not have the nerve. Well, I finally got up the nerve and went for it! I love doing things that challenge my new skills.
Another idea that I got on the Internet....(do ya' have any idea how I can keep track of which blog I get these ideas from so that I can give them credit?) It is a spoon that has been decorated with an ear ring and beads. (I "think" it is done with epoxy to cement it all together.) I just thought you might like to see the flowers that brighten my days and see some of the work I have been doing also. Have a GREAT Sunday and be of good cheer because it does wear off on others. P.S. This is a vintage postcard from "The Feathered Nest" that I had added wording to a blog or so back. I thought maybe you might like it plain too.
